Welcome to the Radicle Governance Hub! This page acts as comprehensive source of information and resources that lays out the Radicle Governance governance process and how to participate in it.
Radicle is the most resilient open source code collaboration infrastructure to date. Decentralization is not only at the core of our tech foundation, but it is what drives project development via community governance and coordination. If you want to build the future of decentralized code collaboration with us, read on!
<aside> โน๏ธ The information below outlines Radicleโs current governance process. As Radicle transitions further to the DAO, there may be a few changes in tools, process and organization. We will be sure to keep the community updated and involved each step of the way!

Radicle operates via tokenized governance, where the Radicle token (RAD) is the designated governance token. RAD holders can influence decisions concerning the project by proposing changes and voting on new proposals. Each Radicle token is equal to one vote. You can find more details on proposing and voting below.
Below is a roadmap of the proposal process. Proposals should include executable code and can be proposed by anyone who has 1% RAD delegated to their address. Once a proposal is implemented, the code that is part of the proposal is executed. These posts can be found at radicle.community under the Governance section.

Governance is also employed to manage the Radicle Treasury, a community owned and governed pool of capital for developing and growing the Radicle network and community. Using the financial firepower provided by the treasury, Radicleโs community of token holders can propose, vote on, and implement initiatives that make Radicle a core piece of internet infrastructure. The Radicle Treasury will fund the maintenance, development, and growth of the Radicle network and its participants in perpetuity.
