🏛️ Governance Proposal Updates

  • Ecosystem Growth Fund Retrospective - Nassar has been busy answering questions and response on this post! Highly recommend taking a look through the discussion for more context around what will be needed to move forward from the EGF  to future growth & education initiatives for Radicle.
  • Use Otterspace Non-Transferable Tokens for Distribution of Influence Mechanism - bordumb has started setting up badges to be tested within Grants decisions. Find details here! Their experiment will provide critical feedback to see how we can expand the use of Otterspace across the DAO.

🔮 Transition to the DAO Updates

• Core Dev Org Working Group Update:
  • The Core Development Org Design Working Group has posted an initial version of the Core Development Org Proposal. This proposal is the result of a weeks long design sprint that produced 3 models which were presented to 7 core contributors. The feedback was then incorporated into one model which is seen in the proposal. They hosted an All-Hands with all core contributors on Monday to present and discuss the model live. The next two weeks the team will be collecting more feedback to incorporate into the final proposal that will be posted February 16th.

💰 Grants Update

• Grants December Community Update
• bordumb has set up and started testing the use of Otterspace badges within Radicle Grants. This experimentation will provide critical learnings for other Orgs within the DAO to possible adopt Otterspace badges as a mechanism for distribution of influence. Find all details from the Grants badges implementation plan here.

🗳️ With the context provided by bordumb’s use of Otterspace badges in Radicle Grants, Shelby gives an brief overview of how non-tokenized governance is being imagined for the broader DAO and why exploring this mechanism of distributing influence is so important.

✨  Shelby provides a “soft intro” to some upcoming updates to the governance process & resources that her and Abbey have been brainstorming over the past few weeks. These will be presented and discussion in the form of a Discourse post in early February.
